The fool has said in his heart,There is no God

Theme: The fool has said in his heart “There is no God”

Text: Psalm 53: 1

Our text strongly states in the book of Psalm chapter 53, the verse 1 that “The fool has said in His heart, “There is no God” .They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is none who does good.
We have currently come to an era, where people have found a way of modernizing everything they do, and has even gotten to the extent of a new fancy name called “atheists”, a name for a class of people or a group of people, who have purposed solely in their heart, to deny the existence of God.
And the most interesting part of all these is that  they do believe that everything that has a name exists, that’s what some will say but immediately you mention God, they say that one is a fabricated name. My encounter with quite a number of these people brought my attention to some important things I would like to discuss here:
Have you ever wondered how things in this world came about. Yes, we know that this world consists of natural and artificial things. We claim that artificial things are made by God so natural things were made by who? This is what I have been asking myself since I started this post. How can animals and trees and seas and oceans and human beings be in existence without being made? Yes animals and human beings are born whiles plants and trees are planted, but there was a first of their kind, so with those firsts, who made them? Who created them? Who designed them? A formulated postulate or doctrine by these people is that human beings or let me say the world came into existence through something they have termed as evolution, and these are people who have gone deeper in education with some heavy titles in education and they come out with this doctrine. My second question is “Why spending much time into disproving something that is non-existent because you have already concluded He does not exist?
And with those who just live for nothing, they haven’t found out anything yet they also claim in accordance to people who have spent time researching, that there is no God. They claim they don’t believe in things they don’t see but yet they believe in words, believe in love, believe in the existence of air and etcetera. Yes those things gives you a feeling, love is a feeling, we also feel air, and that is how we as Christians feel the presence of God, we feel our God because He isn’t just a deity but He dwells and fellowships with us in several ways. And if even you don’t believe I won’t argue or be surprised because we are made to know in 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 18 that “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God.”  And also in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14 that “But the natural man does not receive things from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

What is then the message of the cross? The message of the cross starts from the most quoted verse in the bible, John 3: 16 which says For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. Which was prophesied in the Old books of Isaiah 6: 8 which says “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me’.”
My message is simple and clear: Why don’t you live for something you don’t believe to later find out it’s true than to live for something you believe to later find out it’s wrong.
